Two ways to plan
"How long?" tells you when you'll hit your target based on current monthly savings. "How much monthly?" works backwards from a deadline — useful for saving for a holiday, house deposit or car by a specific date.

Interest rate
Add your savings account interest rate to see the impact of compound interest on your timeline. Even at 4–5%, interest can shave months off your goal. Leave it at 0 if you're calculating without interest.
